I created this simulation for my Non-Western Comparative Politics class. It went very well! Students are assigned a delegation representing a real country. Then, you as a professor/teacher follow the suggested questions to guide the group discussion component. This project can fill 1-2 classes.
This classroom activity is very relevant to studying Afghanistan, Asia, or refugees. It is also a great addition to any internationally-focused class because it helps critical thinking skills, regional knowledge, and the challenges of diplomacy.
