Product Description

This product is a full assignment that can be used for Grade 2's Social Studies Global Communities Unit. It contains an assignment outline allowing students to choose and study a country of their choice and answer the Big Question of the unit: How do land features and climate affect the way people live in your country? This product also contains two full rubrics for both a Social Studies and Language Arts (Writing, Reading, Oral Communication) assessment mark(s), a graphic organizer, and a presentation outline sheet.

Throughout this assignment students have the opportunity to learn, read and present their findings on climate and land features that were spoken about throughout the Social Studies Unit found in the textbook Many Gifts.

As even more fun, students get to create their write up using the information they have gathered to present their information on a Green Screen from an application found on the iPads (not included - you may need to purchase a green table cloth if your school does not have access to a green wall).

I have personally created and facilitated this assignment many times as students had so much fun researching, exploring and even dressing up in appropriate clothing to symbolize the climate in the country they were researching to add even more enjoyment to their work!
