I developed this lesson as the seventh in a series for a survey-style Global History course for summer school that was intended to assist students succeed at the August Regents. In this lesson, students are introduced to the key contributions of Ancient India (e.g., Gupta) through the means of a charades game (instructions included) while also reinforcing the necessary elements of a Regents-style DBQ essay. There is a (heavily edited) section on the Kama Sutra, which can easily be deleted for age-appropriatemenss. While specific documents are not provided in this file, any Ancient India-related DBQ-style documents can be utilized. PowerPoint and lesson plan are attached.
