Product Description
I developed this lesson as the fifteenth in a series for a survey-style Global History course for summer school that was intended to assist students in succeeding at the August Regents. Through the lens of the question "Did the Industrial Revolution ruin the world?", students are introduced to several 'big picture' effects of the IR with the intention of strengthening their analysis in related Regents-style thematic essays: Imperialism, Colonialism, and the destructive military technology of WWI. The PowerPoint and lesson plan are attached, including a map activity that prompts students to 'track' the effects of the IR as they are discussed and represent them visually in their appropriate location.
