This activity is designed for AP World History and it covers significant portions of Key Concepts 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3.
This activity could be used for a World History class as well.
The map is designed to print on 11x17 paper but can be shrunk to fit 8.5 x 11.
The information cards are a total of 18 pages (9 pages double-sided) and provide all the information necessary to address the questions on the map.
How to use:
Students will use the provided cards to complete an annotated map. The questions on the map are targeted around the key concepts and were designed to focus on the most relevant information. I designed and wrote the cards with additional contextual information beyond the key concepts, which I have found helps the students better understand the era.
The map is designed to take the students 1 - 1 1/2 days (90 minute periods) to read the cards and complete the map. It is recommended to follow up with a class discussion or writing prompt.
