While teaching world history I really struggled with ending the year on an uplifting note and getting through content. This project is an amazing time saver because you are covering so many global issues at once! Students are invested in the project because they are selecting a topic that interests them. Students are asked to present an overview of the global issue/problem, select a region in the world to focus on, and provide solutions for the global issue. Students have to analyze the issue on an individual, national, and global perspective. Furthermore, they have to think of ways they can be part of the solution. A rubric for grading presentations is included!
