Using textbooks and class access to the computer lab, students will conduct research on what daily life was like during a period of global history that they have studied during this course. With that knowledge, students will write their own “diary” entries that display an accurate and thorough understanding of the culture and time period that they have chosen. Each student will be responsible for choosing a historical figure, writing two separate diary entries from this person's viewpoint, citing three reliable resources, and presenting this material in a clear and coherent manner.
- Students will review at least three different resources that will help inform and inspire them in the creation of a historically based journal or diary.
- Students will demonstrate the ability to create complete citations and find their own resources.
- Students will demonstrate their own interpretation of what daily life was like during a period of global history.
