This timeline includes 105 important historical events or developments that contain the date, a color image, and brief description of the event. This timeline spans from the dawn of man through September 11, 2001 and covers the upper part of three walls of my classroom. The students (and I) find it very useful to reference, especially in our Global History class where our studies from different parts of the world tend to overlap and can make chronology confusing. Students always find it interesting that, for example, in 1517, while Martin Luther posted his 95 Theses, Hernan Cortez and his fellow conquistadors landed in the Mexica Valley.
The images and text take up an entire page, so you don't really need to trim anything. It's ready to be taped to the wall!
Lastly, I had a large number of students help me put it all up, which made the whole process relatively quick.
