This song has completely captivated me. "Glory," by Common and John Legend from the movie Selma helps teach students about what happened in Selma, when Martin Luther King helped all African Americans in the United States obtain equal rights. The struggle was real, and this song helps students understand what African Americans (and our entire country) were going through in the fight to create a country of true freedom. This song also has messages to help students understand that the fight is ongoing.
