I use this activity whole class first and then place it in a center for kiddos to explore more on their own. This activity is great for introducing or reviewing skills for letters, sight words, numbers, and shapes. Students use a push pin to poke wholes in a paper in the shape of the letters, words, numbers, and shapes. It also reinforces pencil grip, letter formation, and is an excellent resource for those little guys who just can't figure out the correct amount of pressure to put on a paper.

Thanks so much to my friend and coworker, Robin Harrington.
