Students will love matching real world examples of flat shapes in this version of the classic game "Go Fish"!
Circle, square, rectangle, triangle, hexagon, rhombus, trapezoid
** Each shape has 4 different real world examples.
This is a game for 2-4 players.
Object of the game: find matching pairs of cards.
Shuffle the cards and place them face down in the center. The dealer will give each player 5 cards. If two people are playing, deal 7 cards each.
On your turn, you may ask one other player for a specific type of card. If the player has that card, they must give the card to the other player. If they do not have the card requested, the player will state “go fish.”
The player must then draw one card from the deck.
Once a match is found, place it to the side. The game
ends when all cards have a match or time runs out.
The player with the most matches wins!
** NOTE** students do NOT need to match object to object, but rather shape to shape. Ex: A button and a clock are a match, as they are both circles.
