Teaching style

My teaching style integrates Technology-Enhanced and Project-Based Learning approaches: Technology-Enhanced: I leverage digital tools and resources to enrich and modernize the learning experience. By incorporating interactive platforms, multimedia content, and online collaboration tools, I create a classroom environment that engages students and enhances their digital literacy. This integration prepares students for the technological demands of the contemporary world, making learning both interactive and relevant. Project-Based Learning: I design my curriculum around real-world projects, encouraging students to apply their knowledge practically and meaningfully. By working on extended projects that solve authentic problems, students develop critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity. This approach allows them to see the relevance of their studies and gain hands-on experience that deepens their understanding and skills. The combination of these methods results in a vibrant, interactive classroom where technology facilitates in-depth, project-based exploration. Students learn through direct engagement with content and apply their skills in realistic contexts, making their education both dynamic and applicable to real-life scenarios.

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Wilson College, where I developed a strong foundation in teaching methodologies and educational theory. Currently, I am advancing my expertise by pursuing a Master’s degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Albright College. This advanced degree enhances my ability to integrate innovative practices and entrepreneurial thinking into education, equipping me with the skills to create forward-thinking and impactful learning experiences.

Additional biographical information

About Me I am a proud mother of three wonderful children, a delighted “Gigi” to one beautiful granddaughter, and have been happily married to my loving and supportive husband for 22 years. Our family also includes our beloved chocolate lab, Belle, who adds joy and energy to our home. Outside of teaching, I channel my creativity as a Seint Artist, helping others enhance their beauty through innovative makeup techniques. This role complements my passion for crafting and designing, allowing me to explore and express my artistic side differently. I enjoy spending quality time with my family and creating welcoming spaces at home and in the classroom. My Inspiration My journey to Teachers Pay Teachers began with inspiration from “Fun in 5th Grade,” a store on TpT that ignited my passion for creating resources. Witnessing the joy these resources brought to my classroom and other teachers in our building motivated me to share my designs more widely. Their encouragement and the success stories I witnessed inspired me to open my store on TpT. My Journey to Teachers Pay Teachers For many years, I took great pleasure in designing creative signage and resources for my classroom, sharing them initially only with my teaching team. Broadening my horizons to share my work with a wider audience through TpT has been incredibly fulfilling. It provides a platform to blend my love for teaching and creativity, supporting fellow educators by offering resources that create inviting and effective learning environments. I am excited to continue developing my store, learning from the TpT community, and contributing to the success of fellow teachers.
