As teachers, we are always striving to have our students reach certain goals, whether they are behavior and peer interaction goals or more academic-oriented goals. When a student reaches a particular goal, it typically means hard work and perseverance has been expended on their part. Goal badges are a simple way for teachers to recognize and celebrate students’ efforts and achievements.
The left side (front) of each badge has the phrase, “I met my goal! Ask me about it.” The right side (back) of each badge includes a growth mindset phrase such as, “I can train my brain to do it.” or “I am in control of my choices.” Six different phrases are included.
Simply print the desired pages, cut, and fold. Each badge will fit inside a nametag holder (badges sized 2.22 x 3.5 in. - US Avery Letter 5390). Clip with a lanyard, and let your students proudly display and celebrate their accomplishments. They’ve earned it!
Also included is a notification form that can be sent home so students can brag about their accomplishments to family. Besides communication home, this also reinforces the fact that their hard work was not only appreciated, it was important. Two versions are available: to be completed by the student, and to be completed by the teacher.
