Get set for the summer Olympics and excite your students about setting goals with this fun, back to school goal setting craft! Setting goals helps to motivate students and gives teachers valuable insight into where they can offer more support to their students to help them reach their goals. Use this writing craft to set goals academically or behaviorally at the beginning of the year, in January after New Year’s or any time during the year!
Inside the craft, students write their goal on the first page and what they can do to accomplish it on the second page.
I've included an optional gold medal for use during an Olympic year or for an Olympic themed classroom. These little guys and gals make a great beginning of the year bulletin board for Back to School night, Meet the Teacher, or open house displays. I display these in my classroom until the last week of school when we take them down, revisit our goals and then celebrate our accomplishments!
Included are goal setting writing templates for Kindergarten-fifth grade, Prep Year -Year 5 and a page to describe how students will "go for their goal" and accomplish it, plus all the templates needed to make the craft.
