Use this recording sheet for students to set a goal in a specific area (reading stamina, mental math, etc.) or for them to come up with their very own personal goals for the month, semester, or year! Student goals may relate to (but are not limited to) content areas, Common Core (or other) learning standards, or behavioral/character development.
1. Students set a goal. They fill in what they can do already, what they need to learn, and how they are going to work towards their goal.
2. Teacher, mentor, or peer meets with the student to discuss progress.
3. Recording sheet is completed when students meet their goal.
... Then, students can work towards a new goal!
This a great activity to motivate students in all areas in the classroom! It is easily differentiated and individualized and gives all students something to work towards.
