One way to get scholars invested in data tracking, and goal setting on assessment is to have them complete a template, and help them set realistic goals. This simple template can be used to track one assessment to the next. I usually have students complete this template and decorate the boarders. We also tape it into our notebooks and take assessments in between the formal assessment to see how close we are to our goals. When implemented, 90% of scholars were on track to meet their goals.
