What educators are saying
This will be perfect for my students this year! I'm hoping that this helps the lack of caring I saw last year. So far the students like it! Thank you!!
Description
Setting goals in the classroom can be incredibly helpful for not only students, but for you as the teacher and parents as well. With this Goal Setting Resource, you'll be able to see exactly what students want to achieve and the help they might need to get there!
This resource is a great way to not only help students set goals, but also reflect on their goals - what worked, what went well, where they might need extra help or improvement. Setting goals and then forgetting about them doesn't help anyone. But revisiting goals, reflecting on them and writing about them can have a huge impact on the effort students put forth toward achieving their goals.
THIS GOAL SETTING FOR STUDENTS RESOURCE INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING:
- GOAL SETTING SHEET for each grading period. This sheet asks students to list THREE goals for the specific grading period, what they will do to meet that goal, and things they might need help with to meet that goal.
- REFLECTION SHEET for each grading period. Asks students to reflect briefly on whether or not their goals have been met, and steps they can take to achieve any unmet goals.
- IN-DEPTH REFLECTION SHEET for each grading period. Asks students to look closely at a goal they succeeded with or a goal they had difficulty achieving. Includes two in-depth questions for each.
- STUDENT GOAL SETTING TEACHER TRACKER to help you keep track of how your students are doing when it comes to reaching the goals they set for themselves. This is an easy, visual snapshot of the data so you can adjust your expectations of students, provide extra support for those who may need it, and encouragement for those who are achieving all of their goals. (Includes a tracker for each type of grading schedule - quarter, trimester, or semester.)
**This resource includes detailed, step-by-step suggestions to help you get this set up in your own classroom. Enjoy!!**
