Great worksheet to use to help students not only set personal goals, but to get them thinking on how they will actually go about accomplishing their goals.
I created this worksheet to go along with the story, "The Most Magnificent Thing," by, Ashley Spires and used it for grade levels 1-5. For grades 1 & 2, I had the students focus on a goal they would like to accomplish at some point in their life and for grades 3-5, I had the students come up with a school-related goal; something that they could realistically accomplish with effort by the end of the present school year. For the upper grade levels, we stressed the importance of being able to see yourself master things you've set out to do and how as we each begin to accomplish smaller short-term goals, we build the confidence to strive higher to achieve bigger long-term goals.
This work sheet can be adapted to any other story involving goal setting and can easily be used across multiple grade levels.
Thank you for your consideration! :-)
