Antonyms, Synonyms, Homophones, Categories and Cause and Effect activities.

1. Antonyms:
Contains:
-8 special cards (slide 3)
-2 individual mats to store cards (slide 4)
-80 cards (slides 15 through 24). Either have students match the antonym cards or have them name one antonym on the card.

2. Synonyms:
Contains:
-8 special cards (slide 14)
-80 cards (slides 15 through 24). Have students choose a card and name one synonym for each give word. If the student answers correctly, they may keep the card. If the student does not answer correctly, the card go back into the pile.
-24 sentence synonym cards (slides 25 through 27). Have students choose a card and determine a synonym of the underlined word.
-8 blank cards (slide 28)

3. Homophones:
Contains:
-48 homophone cards and 48 homophone sentence cards (slides 29 through 40)
-8 blank cards on slides 41 and 42
Suggested Uses:
*These cards may be played using with memory or a matching game.
*These cards may also be used as a go fish type of game.
*The player with the most cards at the end of each round is the game winner.

4. Categories:
Contains:
-2 individual mats to store playing cards (slide 43)
-1 open ended game board (slide 44)
-Given one item in a category, the student must name the category (slides 45 through 55). If correct, the student may store the card onto his or her mat. The students with the most cards, is the game winner.
-Given three items in a category, the student must name the category (slides 56 through 60). If correct, the student may store the card onto his or her mat. The students with the most cards, is the game winner.
-Name at least three items from a given category (slides 61 through 65 plus 8 blank cards on slide 66). If correct, the student may store the card onto his or her mat. The students with the most cards, is the game winner.

5. Cause and Effect
Contains:
-1 mat example (slide 69)
-1 open ended game board (slide 70)
-8 special cards (slide 71)
-40 Matching cards- 20 pairs (slides 72 through 76plus 8 blank cards on slide 77). Have students match a cause and effect.
-32 state the cause or effect (slides 78-81 plus 8 blank cards on slide 82)
-2 individual mats for students to store cards on (slide 83)
