PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

"Gobblin' Good Language" will keep your students busy over the next few weeks. There are multiple skills addressed in this packet. It is perfect for SLP's to use during group therapy sessions or small group intervention.

Vocabulary Context Clue Puzzles: p. 4-6 Print, cut, and laminate. Mix the puzzle pieces and place on a table, then have your students work individually or as a team to put the puzzles together using context clues for the vocabulary. (12 puzzles)

Negation: p. 7-8 Print, cut, and laminate. Have your students draw a cards and point to the correct object. (12 cards)

Label the Category Shopping List: p. 9-10 Print, cut, and laminate. Give your students the grocery lists and have them identify the category, so they can find where the items are in the store. (6 lists)

List Items In A Category Shopping List: p. 11-12 Print, cut, and laminate. Give your students the grocery lists and have them make out the grocery lists by listing items in each category. (6 lists)

Analogies: p. 13-14 Print, cut, and laminate. Have your students draw a card and complete the analogy. (12 cards)

Food Bingo Inferences: p. 15-18 Print, cut, and laminate. Give each student a bingo card with some bingo chips or Bingo Marker. Using the calling card on p. 18 describe the different food items to your students. The first student to fill up a row is the winner. (6 Bingo Mats)

What’s In Turkeys’ Tummy: p. 19-23 Directions are provided on each worksheet: Turkey has swallowed some pretty crazy things this Thanksgiving and isn’t feeling well. The doctor needs you to describe what is inside the turkeys’ belly. Write a word on each feather to describe what is in its’ stomach. (5 worksheets)

Smiling Synonym Pumpkins: p.24-27 Print, cut, and laminate. Have your students put the pumpkins back together by matching up the synonyms. (16 cards)

Pilgrim Pronouns: P. 28-31 Print, cut, and laminate. Give your students the food items and provide them directions of who to give the food to (ex. Give him the grapes.) Once all of the food has been distributed have your students work on using pronouns with or without the sentence strips (ex. He likes grapes. The grapes are his. The grapes belong to him).

Good Manners or Bad Manners: p. 32-33Print, cut, and laminate. Have your students read the scenario that the children are describing then check if it is a good manner/bad manner. If it is a bad manner have your students provide an explanation and what they should do instead. (12 cards)

Healthy/Unhealthy Food Sorting: p. 34-35 Print, cut, and laminate. Have your students sort the food onto the appropriate table. Talk about why the foods are considered healthy/unhealthy.

Following Directions Placemat: p.36-37 Provide each student with p. 36. Read the directions to your students as they complete the direction by coloring the appropriate object on their placemat.

I am thankful writing prompt: p. 38 Provide each student with a worksheet. Have your students write all the things they are thankful for.
