These activities are based on the short story "God Sees the Truth, But Waits" by Leo Tolstoy. There are comprehension/discussion questions for the students as a class, literature circle, or individual to answer, as well as a focus on the elements of literature and vocabulary. There is a graphic organizer for the elements of literature. I think you will love this because it allows students to analyze the story and puts all of the elements in once place for them. There is also a worksheet students can fill out while they watch the movie. It also includes pre- and post-reading activities, a bubble map for details, a cause and effect chart, and a story cube that can be used as a fun and quick way to review the elements of literature. Finally, the students can strengthen their research skills through a webquest that includes a writing assignment.
If you see short stories in my store that you would also like to bundle, please email me at email@example.com and I can build a packet of 5 stories for $10 to meet your classroom needs.
