Here is a word wall to help your k-3 music students make musical choices and expand their vocabulary. Arriving with different life experiences, some children have a large movement vocabulary while others don't. My word wall is a quick easy way for them to chose a movement and to expand their learning. When we play a movement game, they can go the wall and point to a word. I will read it for them or they will read it themselves. Soon they will be choosing waddle, burst, and slither without referring to the word wall at all.
I have included larger cards for the word wall and smaller cards to be used as a station or to pull out of a hat. The slides have a coloured background OR a white background. Print and go.
Movement Vocabulary includes: march, walk, slither, run, tip toe, crawl, jump, jog, hop, bounce, skip, gallop, sway, fly, swing, leap, lean, slide, shake, clap, pat, snap, twirl, waddle, prance, spin, melt, burst, dodge, flick, shadow, mirror, wiggle, melt, creep, sweep.
Classroom tested and kid approved. Perfect for all Orff and Kodaly music classrooms.
