Social Stories are a fabulous resource when working with students who have disabilities, particularly autism. Social Stories allow the student to read the story before either having a new experience or an experience they have difficulty cooperating appropriately. Reading the story reminds the student, with words and clear pictures, what they can and cannot do in the particular experience.
Each social story has a colored and a black and white version for your convenience. These stories are ready to print and I reccommend laminating and binding them for future use. In addition, you may create the books for students to take home and use. Feel free to delete some pages that may not pertain to your student(s).
Each story also includes several reflective questions to assist the student in thinking about their behavior and the experience.
