Transitioning to the high school can be a big challenge for our students with disabilities. However, social stories are great tools for helping students prepare for the changes they are facing. This product contains a social story to help students prepare for the feelings of anxiety and confusion they may be facing in a new school. It also contains task cards for two different levels (4 cards each) to help remind students where they need to go in the high school.
I have included with this product a FREE worksheet that homeroom or advisory teachers can use to help their students become more acquainted with their setting.
This story and task cards have been tested by my new high school freshmen.
