Are you looking for a way to motivate your grade level to have great cafeteria behavior? Here's a great tool to help encourage children to have a quiet and clean cafeteria environment.
Teachers decide which class out of the grade level performed the best. Their class gets to carry the Golden Spatula back to their classroom for the day. The next day, they return the spatula and it sits at the end of their table until the next winner is announced.
The calendar was placed inside an inexpensive frame. A dry erase marker was used to write the winning class's name in the day's box. Whichever class won the spatula the most, earned a popcorn party from our principal! The month's winning class was presented with a golden certificate (printed on yellow/gold paper) to hang in their classroom!
The actual trophy is made from an inexpensive spatula painted gold with gold glitter and a golden ribbon. It was screwed into a wooden base perfect for the children to hold.
