Goldfish crackers now come in colors. This is an engaging 1-day math activity sorting, counting, and adding goldfish crackers.
For kindergarten, you can use just the sorting page. Sort the goldfish onto the graph, then color in the boxes. Count them and talk about which has more, less, how many. Firsts and Seconds can do the sorting page and the math page.
After having everyone wash their hands, I give each child a napkin on their desk and scoop about 1/4 cup of crackers onto it. They can't eat their crackers until they finish their work. ;)
The document has extra pages--choose the ones that match your goldfish crackers. Apparently, some places have goldfish crackers with 5 colors, and other places have only 4 crackers (no reds). Go figure!
