You will need goldfish crackers for each student in your class. I give each a small cup full.
Students will use the sorting mat to sort their goldfish by color. I have my students outline the fish with the color that matches the color word before sorting.
Next we color each fish at the bottom of the graph to match the colors from their sorting mats. Then students count each group and graph how many they have.
Then they will use the graph to help answer questions that are provided.
Afterwards we get to eat our goldfish! Who doesn't love that? :)
