Get ready for a rip-roaring romp across the North Pole in this crazy, mixed-up fairy tale adventure, with an appealing, comical script for a Christmas performance play or a Readers’ Theater. Goldilocks wakes up Sleeping Beauty and transports her to the North Pole, and what follows is a madcap adventure with lovable and memorable characters, including Santa Claus himself, and a engaging variety of Christmas Elves!

There are 15 characters in this script, as outlined below. Note that elves can be added or subtracted for fewer or more parts, as fits your needs.

N.B. While I have had students in grades three through twelve produce this play and all love it (including a noted national theater company and a dance company), I generally recommend it for 4th grade and up. Of course you are welcome to take it on for any level, revise it as you wish — but it might be a bit long or a tad too advanced for most 3rd grade classes. Otherwise, enjoy; it's lighthearted and delightful fun, and students everywhere have thoroughly enjoyed producing it!
