Book List – A list of different versions to read!
Title Page – To make a reading and writing response booklet.
Story Map – To use with any story.
Characters - Focus on describing one character from a story.
Setting – Use descriptive words to write about the setting of a story.
Cause and Effect – Write and/or draw two examples of cause and effect from the story (ex. Goldilocks sat on the small chair --> the chair broke).
My Favourite Story – Students choose their favourite story to write about.
Venn Diagram – Compare & contrast two different books (cut & paste the book pictures onto the Venn diagram before you photocopy).
Bubble Maps – List facts or descriptions about Goldilocks or one of the bears.
Then What..? – Students write what happens after the story ends.
Letter Writing – Students write a letter to the Bear Family from the perspective of Goldilocks or to Goldilocks from Baby Bear.
What Did They Say? Cartoon – Students fill in the speech bubbles of the cartoon.
My Fractured Fairy Tale Story Map – Students write their own version of Goldilocks. They choose a new main character and a new animal family. The main character eats a different food, does something instead of sitting on a chair (plays a video game, reads a book, etc.), and then sleeps in a different bed (nest, burrow, etc.).
My Fractured Fairy Tale Good Copy –Photocopy double-sided on 8x14” paper (flip on short side) and staple in the middle to make a good copy book.
