This is a lesson plan bundle which includes three lesson plans. In the first lesson, students will be introduced to the elements of a folktale through flip chart they can place in their reading notebooks. It includes a resource to find one of the original English versions of Goldilocks and the Three Bears along with discussion questions students can use to discuss the story. At the end of this lesson students will complete a story element graphic organizer. The second lesson focuses on the version of Goldilocks and the Three Bears written by James Marshall. The focus will be on the traits of Goldilocks and the motivations for her actions. Students will also write about the moral of this folktale. The third lesson builds upon the second and students will begin to differentiate their perspective from the perspective of Goldilocks. There are two different activities to choose from for this lesson. One is for students to complete a perspective chart and the other is for students to write an interview which includes the perspective of Goldilocks and a third grader.
