Goldilocks and the Three Bears reading comprehension 3 Pack.
The second, stand-alone instalment of my reading comprehension series 'Twisted Fairy Tales': traditional stories, but not quite as we know them. These alternative versions to well known children's stories are a fun and humorous way of engaging children with reading comprehensions.

Each of the three activities within this pack include a text, questions, suggested challenge activity, and easy to compare answer sheet.
This pack features:
Activity 1: Two newspaper articles, both telling the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, but from different points of view. Here's what The People Paper and The Bear Essential have to say. This activity allows children to compare two texts describing the same event.
Activity 2: Daddy Bear isn't pleased that the extra strong chair he bought was broken by a young girl. Here's his letter of complaint to the chair store.
Activity 3: Since the event, Goldilocks has risen to fame. As well as a range of perfume and brand of clothes, Goldilocks has her own range of cook books. Here's some directions from her 'Porridge Made Easy' recipe...
The pack involves no planning and is easy to print, making it ideal to use as an in-class activity worksheet, or to be given out as homework.
