Goldman-Fristoe Test of Articulation-3 Auto-Analyzing Sounds-in-Sentence Story 1

Goldman-Fristoe Test of Articulation-3 Auto-Analyzing Sounds-in-Sentence Story 1
Product Description
I've created a spreadsheet to make reporting errors for the Sounds-in-Sentences (Story 1, 4 years - 6 years, 11 months) section of the Goldman-Fristoe Test of Articulation-3 (GFTA-3) faster and more user friendly. I created this because I felt that analyzing the new GFTA-3 was really time consuming (especially if you're trying to organize sound errors by sound and position!) This spreadsheet significantly cuts down on the work you would do analyzing errors!

Quick Directions:
1. Administer Story 1 from the Sounds-in-Sentences section of the GFTA-3.
2. Type the sound substitutions into the colored cells - cells are color coded into initial, medial, and final.
3. Voila! Errors automatically organize by sound & word position into the black & white grid.

Video Tutorial Here!

Users will see the stimulus words and the color coded recording grids from the GFTA-3 on the left side of the spreadsheet. Sound errors can be entered into the colored grids and these errors auto-populate into the error analysis grid on the right side. This analysis grid automatically organizes the errors by sound and position (initial, medial, and final). (LESS WORK FOR YOU!)

Stimulus words from the Sounds-in-Sentences Story 1 (4-6;11) section are included in this document and when you input errors, they will auto populate into the corresponding error analysis grid.

Once you've recorded all the errors on the record form grid (colored grid), you can copy and paste the error analysis grid (black and white grid) into your report. This error analysis grid shows errors by sound and position. If you need an example of what the error analysis grid looks like, feel free to download the free sentences version on my page.

Looking for a spreadsheet that analyzes the Sounds-in-Words AND both sections of Sounds-in-Sentences (Story 1 & 2)? You can purchase that here:

Helpful hints:
-IPA symbols can be copied from Microsoft Word and pasted into this spreadsheet.
-Before you start entering in the errors, make sure your error analysis grid (black and white) is empty. If there are any 0's, simply put a space into the corresponding box on the record (right) grid.
-Since the GFTA-3 tests sounds multiple times, your grid may look like this: "w l". After you paste your grid into your document, you can put a comma between the sound errors, like this: "w, l".

Please send me a message if you have any questions about this spreadsheet. This spreadsheet has been beta tested and highly rated by other speech-language pathologists, and I hope you enjoy it too! :)
