Thanks so much for purchasing Good Morning, Kindergarten! for your September literacy and math centers. I know how hard it is for classroom teachers to research and prepare skill based materials for students participating in centers while working with a small group at the back of the class. So I decided to create these activities to help students practice their skills in your literacy and math centers, while at the same time allowing you to have the opportunity to use creative games in a small group setting. Although some students will be able to work independently, there may be others who would benefit by pairing up with a partner. You may also want to delay the use of some of these activities until later in the fall season if students have not yet been instructed with the target skill. There is also a choice to download these printables in color or black/white whichever you feel will benefit your classroom needs. I also believe that it’s important for parents to be aware of these skills that their children are learning in the classroom. A short parent letter explaining the skill along with an activity is included to help bridge the connection between classroom activities and parental support. Finally, a quick assessment is provided for you to see a snapshot of your students’ understanding the target skill. Thank you again for purchasing this packet. I hope you have as much enjoyment and fun with the activities as I did with creating them! Happy teaching!
