Pages 6-10: Spelling Word and Challenge Word Cards
Pages 11-13: Word Wise (I print the word cards out and laminate them). Students choose four pairs of homophones and write a definition for each word.
Pages 14-16: Word Work: (I print the word cards out and laminate them). Students write and say five pairs of homophones from the word cards. They also will list other homophone pairs they can come up with.
Pages 17-18: Let’s Write! (I hang up the personal narrative poster to help students remember what a personal narrative is). Students write a personal narrative about an important event in your life. Include details about feelings and use consistent verb tense.
Pages 19-21: Words To Know: (I print the word cards out and laminate them). Students write four pairs of homophones. Write sentences for each word to show their different meanings.
Page 22: Read For Meaning: Students read a Leveled Reader. Write a sentence telling the main idea and two sentence for supporting details.
Page 23: I included a portion of Good-bye, 382 Shin Dang Dong for students to read for fluency.
