PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Teaching your students about goods and services? Use this reading passage, 24 picture task cards, a quick assessment and a classified ad project to make planning a breeze!

Use the printable reading passage to introduce the concept of goods and services.

Then, print task cards to allow students time to apply and practice their understanding of goods and services. Use the picture task cards and recording sheet in a classroom scoot or use the page 16 for a small group “Showdown” activity. After using these picture task cards, print sorting headers on page 17 and leave it in the center for continuous review and practice.

Then allow students a chance to get creative and design a classified ad offering a good or service. This project includes a direction page for students, two different pages to design their classified ad, and a grading rubric for the teacher.

After reading the passage and practicing with the picture cards, assess students understanding of the goods and services by choosing from two differentiated assessments.
