Students create a brochure about a community business or organization. The product includes pre-writing pages to help students develop their ideas and to think critically about goods and services in their communities. The final product, a brochure, is an engaging and fun way for teachers to incorporate art, writing, and language arts skills into social studies. This project could be used as a unit assessment in writing or social studies. The product is aligned to Common Core State Standards.
