Product Description
The 1920s Research and Multimedia Presentation project is a perfect way to implement Google Apps, Chromebooks, or any device with online access and research into your classroom!

This project includes research ready resources for the paperless classroom! This product can be used in ELA to provide a historical frame of reference for The Great Gatsby or when teaching students about The Roaring 20s in US History.

This purchase also includes a pdf version of handouts and teacher notes for those who want a paper option.

The 1920s Research and Multimedia Project includes the following:

Access to an attractive Google Site featuring images and photos from the 1920s. This website contains links to all project activities, handouts, project resources, and the websites needed to align with the 1920s research project topics!

Access could not be any easier!

Your purchase also includes:

A Pre-Search Think-Pair-Share Activity:

Students will work collaboratively to analyze 1920s artifacts – including primary sources, images, video, audio clips, ads, political cartoons, and articles. All resource links are included for this activity along with enough material to form 15 Think-Pair-Share groups (for 30 students total).

A Think-Pair-Share handout is included with a Google Doc link for students to copy into their own Drive and edit (along with the pdf version).

A Project Sheet contains a list of suggested popular 1920s topics and project guidelines.

Topics include Women’s Rights, the Evolving Role of Women, the Resurgence of the KKK, Red Scare and the Trial of Sacco and Vanzetti, the Jazz Age, the Harlem Renaissance, Consumerism and the Economy, Family and Education, Aviation and Lindbergh, Ford and the Automobile, and the Impact of Radio.

Students are provided access to a Symbaloo Webmix of over 50 bookmarked websites and resources all on 1920s topics!

A Digital Notecard link is included for students to store notes in their Google Drive for home access.

After conducting research and saving relevant images, students will showcase their learning by creating a multimedia slideshow. There are TWO project options to allow for differentiation (with two separate teacher grading rubrics and student directions)!

The first option is to create a research-based slides presentation using the website PhotoPeach.

PhotoPeach is free and very user-friendly. Information on how to create slideshows using the website Photopeach is included.

Students can view a Photopeach slideshow sample with the provided link. This sample engaging multimedia slideshow was created specifically for this project!

A Digital Project Rubric is ready for the teacher to use and/or edit if necessary!

The second option is to create a 1920s Research-Based Multimedia Slideshow using Google Slides.

Slideshow guidelines and a grading rubric are both included for this option, also!

From start to finish, this product provides a comprehensive research project accessible online - no copies, no hassle, and no extra work for the teacher!
