Students will use a computer to explore the Google Cultural Institute in this two part web quest. Students will explore galleries, museums, and artist contributions of great significance to history. Students will enjoy the chance to explore in one of three unique ways to find a piece or gallery that interests them and answer questions about it. Added bonus: this can be repeated quarterly, or semi-annually, as needed, to find more art history in the future!
This Google Cultural Institute activity can be done in about an hour or less of class time depending on how much detail you expect from student responses. There are so many great museums, that you might choose to let students "free explore" after they complete this worksheet. After the exhibit, students will get to click through one of the excellent 360 degree videos from one of the most famous museums or art centers in the world.
