Want a quick review of Google Docs? Gone are the days of word processing class but this assignment does the trick in one class period.
This assignment is written for students who have already had beginning instruction using Google Docs or are switching from Microsoft products. It is part scavenger hunt and part following directions. Many students will copy items word for word however those who are savvy will figure out how to copy and paste early. I did not do any review of Google Docs (only Google Drive) last year and so I am going to use this product with 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students and modify from time to time. However I would use and modify them if I taught older students.
I want the students to create purposeful writing and this checklist allows them to get right to the core of curriculum and not get bogged down by where things are located.
Here are a few of the skills the document covers:
Creating a Document
How to change Indents and Margins
Insert Pictures from Drive
Insert Pictures from Search
Insert Special Characters (Important for Language Classes)
This item includes a sample at the end of the document. However the students images they select may look different.
