Students have a blast coloring decimal grids (tenths and hundredths) to match the decimal place value. They also get to design their own decimal grids and figure out the matching decimal values. I have used these in my class and it was a definite hit. I also had another teacher and class try them out and they found it easy to understand as well as engaging. These decimal puzzles encourage students to visualize decimals and see the relationship between decimals and percents.
