This is the exact same as my best-selling task cards
only a Google version. This is an area activity that students immediately relate to. How many people can they invite to a slumber party, determined by the amount of floor space and the size of a sleeping bag? Using four different scenarios (increasing in complexity), the students will use grids and scaled down sleeping bags to help figure out the answer. This activity goes beyond figuring out area based on squares, to real life situations using rectangular sleeping bags. My students love this math center.
Note: Uses US standard measurements, like square feet.
