Take students on a 3D world tour with this Landform Explorer. Students that have a laptop can copy and paste the coordinates in their browsers at earth.google.com and explore the best of the new 3D feature from Google. Students have been doing this in my classroom to learn about glaciers, weathering-erosion-deposition relationships, watersheds, plateaus, and other prominent geographical features that are not accessible to any one area of the globe. Work it as individuals or better yet as a group discussion. The next best thing to being there in person is exploring from your desk with Google!
