Use the the Google Expedition App with Google Cardboard goggles or with just the app for a unique experience to introduce or review different types of cells and cell parts. The expedition the worksheet and instructions are intended for is "Into the Cell".
The powerpoint provides you and your students instructions on how to download and use the app.
The worksheet guides them and helps them explore important components of the cells. My high school classes could complete in about 50 minutes (give or take a couple students) including the downloading and instructions. It's much easier for them to download if they are connected with wifi. Many of the answers are also in the text provided in the app if they are not able to find the answer by observing the structure.
The app can also read the text aloud, which is a great modification for those that are hearing impaired or require read aloud. I encourage headphones if they use this feature.
There were some issues with those that did not have iphones with the goggles, but almost everyone was able to do just fine with the touch screen view if they chose to use that.
My students loved this LOVED this and requested another lesson using the Google Cardboard Googles and app. I hope your students love it as much as mine did!
