This context clues passage and questions activity uses a nonfiction text based on our history of Hip Hop and rap music, song. The activity has multiple-choice questions that are based on content-vocabulary words from the context clues nonfiction passage. This passage utilizes the Hip Hop history song, exploring how two founding fathers and a mother of Hip Hop contributed to the urban art, and how it developed into a unified sound.

This activity includes:

- the Google Form link for copying the activity to your Google Classroom account

- the song with subtitles embedded into the Google Form

- the song lyrics embedded into the Google Form

- self-grading quiz format with the answer key

- 7 multiple-choice, context clues questions for defining content vocabulary words in the song

- a short-response activity where students define a word of their choice from the song using context clues.
