Going back to school in September is always a busy time full of papers to send home and have returned, classroom setup, and routines to practice. Make this time of year a little bit easier by getting rid of some of the paper involved in the start-up of your year.
This file includes links to five Google Forms you can use to help get your classroom going in September.
*Welcome Back Parent Form:
Collect parent information for the year including e-mails, phone numbers, volunteer sign-up, if students have access to a device at home, etc...
*Welcome Back Student Form:
Get to know your students a bit by asking them about their summer, their hobbies, reading genre preferences, favorite subjects, books read, math level, and more.
*Student Reading Log:
Get rid of those daily logs and focus more on the books students finish. Each time students finish a book, they fill in the log, including title, author, review, and rating. Creates a nice reading portfolio for the end of the year.
*Classroom Library Checkout:
Most teachers have a classroom library that students can borrow from in addition to the school library. It is easy for these books to go missing. Have students fill in this quick Form so you are aware of who has the books so they can be safely returned and used again and again.
*No Homework Form:
Students will always occasionally forget their homework. Keep track of who missed a homework by having students fill out this Form. This way, you have a record of all homework missed to use yourself or for parent conferences.
All links are included in the file. You simply make a copy and the Forms are yours to edit and use in your classroom.
