I have included this file as a PDF, but the Google Link is included in the PDF so that you can have access to the Slides version and then make a copy.
This 100th day of school activity has students to consider two important questions that they must respond to with at least 100 words:
1. What was it like to be a student your age 100 years ago? Respond with 100 words on the next slide, and cite any sources that you use in the speaker notes at the bottom of the slide.
2. What will it be like to be a student your age 100 years from now?
Respond with 100 words on the next slide, and cite any sources that you use in the speaker notes at the bottom of the slide.
The students are then prompted to find images that they think resemble what the past and future student would look like in regards to their class environment, textbooks, technology, etc.
The other part of this 100th day activity is for the students to explore the most popular baby names over the past 100 years, and also the the top 5 baby names in each of the last 100 years. This activity is extremely fun for the students, and it also equips them with the knowledge they need to begin working with tables in Google Drive.
The Google Apps emphasis of this computer activity includes:
-Citing appropriate sources
-Inserting Data into tables/charts
-Typing skills for the 2 response questions requiring 100 words.
