There is a 1 pg PDF file that contains a link to a Google Slides Project: Biographical Sketches + Fictionalized Autobiographical Sketches.
The Preview is a PDF of all of the slides so you can check out the project.
Click the link, select "File," then "Make a Copy," and you’ll have a version of your own that you can edit. My school district was set up with Google Classroom, so it was only a few extra clicks to assign each student their own version. When I assigned this, I made a copy for my students to edit that didn’t have the directions slides.
Long story short: students are to select 5 role models, and complete several slides for each role model: an introduction page, a summary of that person, a quote from that person, an analysis of where that person makes their living, an analysis of their field of expertise, and a video clip from that person.
At the very least, my students took one day per role model in the computer lab.
When they're done those slides, they move on to their Fictionalized Autobiographical Sketch, where they select one of their role models and write a short story from their point of view. That was on our curriculum this year, and I thought it was a bit weird so I created a fun writing / research project around it.
