This is a pdf that has an embedded link for the download for a Google sheet that contains 20 Google Slide presentations. Included is the following:
Introduction to Phoneme Substitution Slides by vowel
I give my students whiteboards and they spell what they see. Then they erase one letter for the next picture. They must tell me if they did the beginning, middle or ending sound. These intro slides always keep the same short vowel sound.
Emerging Slides for Phoneme Substitution
I follow the same pattern but these slides substitute beginning sounds, vowel sounds, and ending sounds.
CVC spelling practice
This is a spelling practice activity but they have see the pic and write the word. These are broken up by short vowel groups not word families.
One of these things is not like the other
I LOVE that old Sesame Street game "One of these things is not like the other" song so I play old clips from you tube. It helps my ESL categorize and sort in their minds. I thought why not do this with phonics. These slides are grouped into beginning sounds, vowel sounds, and ending sounds. They must find the picture that doesn't fit with the others and write it on their board. This is a great higher order thinking skill for Phonics.
Also included are Multiple Meaning words and Compound Words
