As students learn about the different forms of democracy, in particular those developed in Ancient Greece and the United States, give them this activity to compare how they are the same and different. The activity uses a venn diagram to compare representative and direct democracies with the countries previously mentioned.
*There is a powerpoint file that you can project on screen to do as a class or group work. Students can also modify it on their own computers. It can then be printed- you can use it as an activity or assessment . It is editable to enable you to add more categories if you wish.
*I've also included an exact replica in PDF form to use as a cut and paste activity if technological resources are not available for you or to make it more independent.
*There is NOT an informational reading page with this packet. This is to use in conjunction with other resources you have to teach about direct and representative democracies.
