Grades 4-6: Students read a two-page article on Popular Dog Breeds, the complete Tasks One, Two, & Three:
Task One: Doggie Stats - Students must skim the article for text evidence to find specific information for graphic organizer.
Task Two: Matching Dogs & Owners - Students must read a short synopsis of a pet owner and analyze the two-page article using deductive reasoning to determine which breed of dog would suit each owner profile.
Task Three: Compare & Contrast Breeds - Students choose two out of eight breeds from the article to compare and contrast using the graphic organizer.
Then, (Task Four) students read a one-page article on Responsible Dog Ownership and answer 4 comprehension questions for using text evidence.
All answer keys are included with this document that is ready to print and teach!
